Olivier Portet is a Senior Sales and Marketing Executive and subject matter expert in the wine industry with 25+ years’ experience. A Napa Valley native, Olivier has family spread out across the world making wine, and is the 10th generation in his family to be in the wine business. He has deep knowledge and experience in all facets of the wine business - as production, hospitality, marketing, domestic sales (DTC, wholesale), and international sales across 5 continents. Growing up in the wine business, he developed a strong passion for wine, respect for terroir, and a reverence to the delicate intricacies that go into making a great bottle of wine.
When it comes to the commercialization of wine, Olivier has a proven track record of delivering revenue, profit, and volume gains in the premium and luxury wine segments, both in the US and abroad.
For the past 15+ years, in his roles as Brand Director, Export Sales Manager, VP of Marketing, and National Sales Manager, Olivier managed the sales and marketing for domestic and international wineries with annual sales up to $30M and 150,000 cases. A key to his success in selling California wine around the world has been his fluency in French and Spanish and his extensive international travel which he has leveraged to tailor presentations to the importers' local languages and customs while effectively communicating the true essence of the winery.
